Lake Highlands brought a large fan base to Highland Park for Friday’s dual meet and the Wildcat wrestlers did not disappoint. LH took down Highland Park, 63-16.

Isaac Grieder,  Brent Bono, Ebrima Njie, Trevon Starks, Drew Lloret, Isaac Kinsella, Reid Zambordino and Duncan Mcaulay all pinned their opponents.

"We had a great night as a team," said senior Matthew Keath, who won his match, 5-0. "Highland Park put up a good fight, but we are a very strong team. We expect to win every match."

Lake Highlands took control early after seven of the first eight Wildcat wrestlers won either by pin or forfeit. This came after the JV team went undefeated in their dual with HP.

"Tonight’s was a touch match," said senior captain Robbie Penny, who won his match, 12-5. "The guy I faced beat me last year, but I went right at him this time."

Lake Highlands will compete in the Eagle Mountain Saginaw Tournament starting Saturday morning. The next dual meet is at home Tuesday against Grapevine with the JV starting at 6 p.m. and the varsity at 7 p.m.
