Lake Highlands coach Scott Smith said Wednesday that quarterback Ricky Zorn is "banged up" from the W.T. White game. Smith said he doesn’t know for sure Zorn’s status for Friday’s game against Carrollton Creekview and did not want to elaborate further.

Anyone who knows Zorn will tell you that if he can play at all, he will be on the field Friday night. The good news is that backup Michael Ketchmark got some valuable playing time against W.T. White and looked good running the team. Smith has also had good things to say about Trent Jones, the other freshman backup quarterback.

Even better news: Smith said running back Desmond Roland should be back in the lineup after being held out against W.T. White. The Wildcats also expect to get several other starters back this week.
