Lake Highlands’ reign over District 9-5A in team tennis continues for another year.
The Wildcats cruised through the district tennis tournament this week, beating Molina 10-0 on Wednesday, then Creekview 10-1. In the finals, LH made quick work of Richardson, 10-1, to win its second-straight district title. In fact, LH has been unbeaten in district play the the last two years.
"All the players deserve the district championship," coach Bob Williams said. "They all played outstanding tennis."
LH now turns its focus to the Region II tournament, Oct. 30-31 at the Tyler ISD Tennis Courts in Tyler.
