The District 9-5A team tennis tournament begins Wednesday. Lake Highlands is the favorite after a 7-0 run through match play.
The Wildcats, 14-3 overall, won’t be at full-strength, however. Coach Bob Williams reports that "six to seven" players have been out with the flu, and the many rainouts this fall have reduced competition time.
However, Williams is upbeat about the Cats’ chances and beyond.
"Give us a week or two and we’ll be ready for regionals the 30th and 31st." Williams said.
