This week, 2006 LHHS grad Charlie Vann had the chance to interview environmentalist and actress, Daryl Hannah, for KDUX web radio and television at Richland College. Charlie is currently the Student Media Sports Director at Richland, but he went to the Eisemann Center in Richardson to cover WFAA’s Project Green Summit. The event was designed to encourage action to improve the environment – one of Hannah’s pet projects. You can see Charlie’s interview here.

Charlie served as Richland’s mascot his freshman year (Go Thunderducks!), and he was the announcer for the National Division III Junior College Soccer Championship last spring. He was recently named Richland’s Outstanding Media Student, and he was chosen to interview John McCain when he visited Dallas during the presidential election. Charlie hopes to finish his studies at UNT or Texas State, with a degree in Broadcast Journalism.
