Mesquite Horn quarterback Emory Miller got some attention today on the DMN’s high school sports blog for his 356-yard performance (251 pass, 105 rush) last week. He will have the full attention of the Lake Highlands defense on Friday.

Miller is a dynamic, dual-threat quarterback who led the Jaguars to a breakthrough season in 2008. Horn made the playoffs for first time and beat rival Mesquite as well.

Horn coach Rodney Webb coached another great dual-threat quarterback when he was at Royse City in Richard Morrison, who is now an Arizona Wildcat.

Of course, there will be another pretty good dual-threat quarterback on the field Friday night at E.H. Hanby Stadium.
