The Lake Highlands tennis team produced a pair of dominating victories in team play this week, 17-2 over Skyline and 18-1 over Rowlett on Wednesday.
"We’re mixing up doubles teams to see what works best," coach Bob Williams said via e-mail. "The team is well prepared for the heat, and is already in mid-season form at the beginning of the year. It looks promising."
The top boys’ players include Ryan Berg, John Paul Turnham, Wil Mathews and Johnny Olivo.
"Ryan is strong, but with Wil Matthews they will probably be one of the stronger doubles teams in the area," Williams said.
The girls’ side is led by Ana Lew, Maggie Duffy and Celeste Allison.
"All three girls will combine for one of the top three singles teams in the area," Williams said. "We have a very strong girls’ team."
