The Drumline of the Lake Highlands High School Marching Band will host an all-night Drum-A-Thon fundraiser this weekend at the school. Senior section leader Jordan Brooks says they’re seeking sponsors to pledge an amount per hour to raise funds to purchase and repair percussion instruments and equipment. They’ll begin Friday, August 21 at 6 pm and go until Saturday at 10 am or when they fall over exhausted, which ever comes first.

The Drumline hopes to continue competing successfully against big band programs like Colleyville Heritage, Flower Mound Marcus, and Southlake Carroll. Last year the Cats placed 3rd at the Plano Drumline Competition and 4th out of 22 at the Lone Star Classic Drumline Competition featuring bands from all over the state.
