Armed robbers last Friday hit Bobo China on Church Road in the Lake Highlands area during dining hours. The only official word I have so far is this police report, which confirms that suspects entered the restaurant, pointed a gun at someone, and stole many valuable items including cell phones, credit cards and IDs from customers. It shows that they may have been driving an aqua-colored Chevy. We received an e-mail earlier today from a reader who knew someone who was eating in the restaurant the night the robbery occurred. By the reader’s account, “first some of the waitstaff ran out the front door and then the robbers took the money from the cash register and then robbed each table.”
I put in a call to the restaurant for more details and I’ll keep you posted if I get any new info.
