The RISD Excellence in Education Fund recently recognized Forestridge Elementary principal Kathy Higgins with an Administrative Excellence Award.
She and J.J. Pearce principal Karen Neal (photographed left here) were both selected for their outstanding leadership, and efforts to build neighborhood relationships.
Each woman was given an award, which was unwritten by longtime foundation supporter AXA Advisors, and a check for $1,000.
