As we’ve told you about already, perhaps several times, the Exchange Club Lake Highlands parade, party and petting zoo (my favorite part) will dominate the weekend festivities …
… but why don’t you start the day off with a run? The Dallas Running Club Independence Day 10K and 5K starts at 8 a.m. at Winfrey Point (I wonder if I can get a head start in order to make it back to cover the parades …)
… and the Flagpole Hill 8K starts at 7:30 a.m. at Flagpole Hill, near Northwest and Buckner.
Return to Flagpole Hill later on Saturday night, as it offers a great vantage point for the Fair Park fireworks show.
