Last Saturday, Lake Highlands resident Price Voss went to work at the Tuesday Morning store in Preston Center as usual. He thought it odd when several men in suits came into the housewares store, but he went on about his business. When the men began speaking into their wrists, he knew something was up. That’s when former First Lady Laura Bush walked in.
Price said she was smiling and friendly when she asked to be pointed toward bath towels. Price walked her over to the right spot and answered questions for her. Then he checked her out at the cash register and wished her a good day. Her purchase – white paper dinner napkins. She paid her $8.65 tab by credit card and thanked him for his help.
