The Dallas Cowboys Women’s Association will host a benefit for the Rich Biehm Family Trust this Thursday from 6-8 pm. Biehm was the Cowboy talent scout injured when the big white training tent collapsed May 2. All proceeds will go to the trust, including food & drink sales and raffle ticket proceeds. Biehm is paralyzed as a result of the spinal cord injury he suffered when the facility collapsed in a rainstorm.
The fundraiser won’t be held in Lake Highlands, but it’ll be at RA Sushi, across the street from my LH book club’s favorite new independent book store – Legacy Books. It’s a significant drive (Legacy and the Tollway), but it’s worth it to find a book store with a little pizzazz. RA Sushi and Legacy Books are both part of the Shops at Legacy, a similar concept to our future LH Town Center.
