Even as the current school year winds down and seniors prepare to graduate, next year’s students at Lake Highlands High are busy making plans for their big year. The Student Council, supported by math teacher and sponsor Kathryn Laster, coordinates community service projects, spirit sign painting, helpers for teacher move-in, staff appreciation breakfasts, Class Favorite elections, and Homecoming festivities, among many other projects. Newly elected officers are: President Michael Svedeman, VP Michelle McCloskey, Secretary Elly Collett, Treasurer Catherine French, and Kurt Stadelmann.

Senior Class Officers serve as members of the Student Council, in addition to raising funds for senior activities. They are led by senior principal Ramona Powers and work to design official senior tees, coordinate the senior show, plan senior prom, and assist with the Senior All Night Party. These new officers are: President Ben Toler, VP Steven Heger, Secretary Chris George, Treasurer Caroline Keffer, and Historian Stephen Holmes. More information about joining LHHS Student Council is available on the PTA website.
