Most parents I know have a love-hate relationship with Babies "R" Us. It’s one of those necessary evils — a place where you have to shop occasionally because it has about every baby product under the sun, but you dread each visit because the store is usally overcrowded and feels overwhelming.
The worst part for people in our neighborhood is that to get to this unenjoyable shopping experience, you have to drive to Mesquite or Addison. Soon, however, that will no longer be the case.
A sign hanging on the vacant big box space next to Best Buy, at Park and Central Expressway, says that Babies "R" Us is coming soon. I saw it from the highway, so didn’t get close enough to catch an acutal date (if there was one), and it’s so new that it doesn’t even show up on the company’s store locater as "coming soon". I’ve sent an email to the company trying to find out more.
