I just received these stats from the November 15th first ever Lake Highlands Elementary Recycling Round Up from one of the organizers, Cindy Engel. Impressive!
COLLECTED:
Shred Pod: 6,000 lbs
E-waste: 20,154 lbs.
Ink Cartridges: 265
Metals: 4,273 lbs.
Tires: 33 (There’s some serious swing potential…)
Curbside: 970 lbs.
According to Cindy, in the words of the City of Dallas representative: "Wow. This is a record for us in the e-waste category."
