A local car company is getting some big time recognition. Now when I say local I don’t mean Back Talk-type hyper local, but I figure it’s close enough for us to all enjoy. That said, have you seen this commercial? It’s the one with the Barack impersonator selling you a Kia, "do you have a job?!, Do you have $199?! Yes, you can buy a Kia?!"
Well Central Kia‘s terrible (terribly genius?) spot made the opening segment of The Daily Show with Jon Stewart last night. Stewart watches the commercial in amazed horror/amusement then says, something like, "They’ve got Barack selling cars. He’s not even president yet… We’ve only used Lincoln and Washington for this purpose in America … in this country you have to prove yourself before you can get associated with those types of big, big savings."
