I finally tracked down a little info about the restaurant opening at the old Hog Wild location on Audelia and Walnut, Offshore Nextdoor. As some of us had surmised, it will be a seafood place and it’s slated to open right around July 4. I talked to Blake White, one of four investors opening Offshores. He says

they will offer Cajun-seafood fare similar to “something you’d find in Port Aransas or New Orleans”. (As a seafood lover, I pray this place — nearly walking distance from my house — will be good.) White says he will be less heavily involved in the operations than his partners who include George Elson, who has been associated with, at one time or another, The Barley House, City Tavern, and the (former) Metropolitan.
