Man it’s been a hard working day! Started at 5:30 a and just kept going. LHE’s Field Day, Sky Ranch popsicle sales, few other things thrown in to boot. I was doing good to make it home w/El in time to change out of my mud, sweat and ketchup clothes, run a comb through my hair and spritz on some stuff I got at Christmas before heading over to Rocking M – Trail Ride, no less.

Before leaving, I had Elsa snag this months hard copy Advocate off the neighbors door. (For any postal police, it’s o.k., she’s moved into assisted living and we’re keeping her mail contained). Mr. Davis, lovely, lovely, lovely piece about Dr. Bob! Thank you. I loved reading about him through your eyes. You echoed so many others I’ve heard.

My kid’s in elementary but I’ve come to know lots of LH kids – and teachers – and principals – in LHE, LHJH, LHHS. I’ve never met Dr. Bob (Funny, three nights ago when I was w/Troop 707 doing the flags for the Memorial Day concert at LHHS, he drove by, stopped, waved, called out ‘Looks great!’ I thought, ‘Oh, that’s Dr. Bob’).

It was such a nice topper on Carol’s pic and posting today of the ‘I HEART Dr. Bob’. But thanks to you, Mr. Davis, I’ve got a bit more specific insight about this man that everyone’s been talking about. Sounds to me like he rocked/rocks Lake Highlands. Also sounds to me like he’ll be ’round for a bit. How could he not? This is his town. He won’t be my daughters principal but I’ll betcha he’ll somehow have a positive influence on her. Again, how could he not? He’s a gem of a Lake Highlander. And it was a lovely write up you did about him.
