While doing my usual run for new books at Barnes and Noble, I checked the events list, and a silly-looking card caught my eye. Turns out that Lisa Loeb is coming to town.

Most people know Loeb by her signature wire-rimmed glasses and her ’90s hit, "Stay (I Missed You)". This time around, however, she’ll be performing live from her new children’s CD, "Camp Lisa", and doing a CD signing at the Barnes and Noble on Northwest Highway (across from NorthPark Center) this Saturday, June 14 at 2 p.m. Purchasing her CD, which is being sold exclusively at B&N, will benefit the Camp Lisa Foundation, which helps to send underprivileged kids to summer camp.

If you aren’t able to catch her this Saturday, she will also be performing a special concert at Bend Studio later that day at 8 p.m. Tickets are $35 each. My guess is that the concert set will expand beyond her new children’s CD and include more of the hits for which Loeb is known.
