Dallas was the fastest growing metropolitan area between July 2006 and July 2007, according to this story sent to me by Steve Clary, LHAIA board member and president-elect of Lake Ridge Estates.

The story states that 162,000 people were added to our city during that year. Maybe this is why the city’s office of development keeps telling us we need denser and more vertical housing — to hold all of the people coming in. Projections for Lake Highlands’ District 10 alone include 4,603 additional households between 2000 and 2030.
