Lost in everything else going on around here ("It’s the Cowboys’ bye week!") is that today is Community Hunger Day. The numbers are staggeringly depressing — Dallas Central Ministries says that 600,000 people in the city are either below the poverty line or close to it.

There are a variety of programs around the area, including something from Pizza Hut. But the big deal is at the Central Ministries. This is one of those good reasons to get out the checkbook.
