Nutcracker puppets

“The Nutcracker” told through puppetry at the Dallas Children’s Theater.

Love Art?  This weekend at the Bath House Cultural Center check out the Art Mart. Originated in 2003, the Art Mart is a three-day special featuring various types of artwork. From painting to photography, and pottery the Art Mart is a chance to see and appreciate lots of local artist. The event’s proceeds will go towards the Bath House Cultural Center.  This event is open all weekend, Friday from 7 p.m to 9 p.m and Saturday and Sunday from noon to 6 p.m.

Ready for Christmas? This Friday, Nov. 18, at the Dallas Children’s Theater, is the opening both “A Charlie Brown Christmas” and “The Nutcracker.”  The two shows are a classic holiday treat, with “The Nutcracker” told through puppetry instead of ballet. Get all of the showtimes and tickets here.

This Sunday, head on over to Half Price Books to enjoy great stories from a wide range of acclaimed storytellers.  The event is called “Tellabration” and is celebrated worldwide.  From 7-9 p.m. head over to enjoy an evening of stories.

Need to get in the holiday spirit? The trains have just rolled into NorthPark Center.  This event has been happening for 18 years and every year over 80,000 people come to see.  All proceeds of the Trains go to the Ronald McDonald House, which helps families of sick children.  For more information, click here.
