Even if we don’t like to admit it, we all know — even as we are eating/sledding with joyful abandon — there are no free lunches or free days off school.
When students miss classes due to inclement weather — three snow days in the past month included — the district already has days reserved on the calendars, otherwise holidays, for making them up.
Two of this semester’s make-up days are slated for April 3 and June 5, respectively, but the Richardson ISD will ask formal permission from the Texas Education Agency to be excused from the third makeup day. It is safe to assume few students will object to said waiver request.
