A number of Lake Highlands schools, including Forest Meadow Junior High, Merriman Park Elementary, and White Rock Elementary, welcomed students back to newly expanded campuses this week. Dallas Morning News reports that the expanded campuses were able to ease overcrowding issues that have recently affected Richardson ISD.
The Houston Chronicle reports that at age 39, Lake Highlands High School grad and current kicker for the 49ers Phil Dawson is still going strong.
White Rock Lake’s White Rock Paddle Co. has expanded its services all the way to Oklahoma. Stillwater News Press reports that the paddle sports rental company will open a new location on Oklahoma’s Boomer Lake this weekend.
