In an effort to raise money to send to the region devastated by hurricane Sandy, the school held a concession sale — snacks, drinks, popcorn, fruit — in the after-school pick-up line.

Students made signs and rallied the parents to purchase said goodies. They earned more than $600 in profits and the school matched that, making for a $1,200 gift from WRN to The American Red Cross Hurricane Sandy Relief Fund.

The students also held a clothing drive for the Senior Source, an East Dallas-based nonprofit that helps ageing community members who lack necessities.  White Rock North families brought new warm clothes, pajamas, slippers and robes by the hundreds.
