Lake Highlands resident Patrick Kercheville celebrated his 45th birthday with a 45,000-meter row, which totals 28 miles. He did it all on a machine at CrossFit Lake Highlands to raise money for the North Texas Food Bank and the Vickery Meadow Food Pantry.

From left, Dallas Lutheran School students Shannon Finley, Madison Musgrove and Tamiko Barker received high rankings at the Texas Private School Music Educators Association Solo & Ensemble Festival in February. For their solo performances, Finley, of Lake Highlands, earned a “superior” rating, and Musgrove, also of Lake Highlands, earned an “excellent” rating.

A-Team

The Lake Highlands Freshman Center acknowledged Forrest Brown, Eric Speer, Julie Anne Trostel, Griffin Milan and Chris Truong, who were among the students earning straight A’s last semester. The school held a breakfast for the students and their parents, and Principal Bill Gallo passed out individual certificates to all 59 Wildcats who achieved the honor.
