The LH coaching tree sprouted another branch recently. Brett Sawyer, LH Class of ’96, was named athletic director and head coach at Sweeny, a top Class 3A program southwest of Houston.
Sawyer had spent the past nine seasons as an assistant at Berkner under Jim Ledford, himself a former LH assistant. Sawyer was the Rams’ defensive coordinator. His wife, Tanessa, is coach of the highly successful Pearce volleyball team.
