Lake Highlands resident Dr. W. Phil Evans recently was elected first vice-president of the American Cancer Society’s National Board of Directors. He is the director of the University of Texas Southwestern Center for Breast Care and associate vice president for clinical imaging services. He is also the current president of the Society of Breast Imaging. Evans has served in numerous capacities in the American Cancer Society’s High Plains Division for more than 20 years.
Jeryn Laengrich of Lake Highlands recently was named community rehabilitation director at Presbyterian Village North Retirement Community. In her new role, Laengrich will oversee the community’s new outpatient rehabilitation program. She has over 20 years of experience in speech pathology and therapy management, and she most recently was program director at Presbyterian Hospital’s movement disorders clinic.
