The varsity wrestling team went undefeated in the Keller Duals on Saturday with dominating wins in every dual. The team beat Keller 85-0, Arlington Heights 90-0, Keller Central 75-9, Lewisville 69-3 and Flower Mound Marcus 73-12.
Eleven wrestlers went undefeated for the tournament. Seniors Drew Llorett, Isaac Kinsella, Robbie Penny (pictured), Matthew Keath, Isaac Grieder, Brent Bono and Ebrima Njie all dominated their matches. Sophomores Duncan Mcauley, Lee Lueder, Nathan Schulman and Henry Offord were undefeated as well.
The team is now 6-0 as it heads into Tuesday’s dual against Euless Trinity. The JV matches start at 6 p.m. with the varsity matches at 7 p.m. in the small gym at LHHS.
On the junior varsity level, 17 wrestlers went undefeated and placed first in their weight bracket. Leading the way were juniors David Davis, Reed Zambardino and DD Fields.
Following in their footsteps were Sophomores Yordi Calix, Scott Curry, Derek Fritz, Adyson Gorischek, Parker Starr, Biak Thang, Evan Throckmorton and Jorge Vargas.
Not to be outdone, freshmen Dandre Brumfield, Dylan Domizio, Blake Lueder, D’Andre Neroes, Nate Villasana and Rodger Williams all crushed their competition as well.
