Merriman Park's Brenda Marr will host All Star Cheer Camp this summer

If you were one of the many in the community who attended the LHHS Red White spring game with young children and you noticed your elementary-age daughters eyeing the varsity cheerleaders with excitement, here’s your chance to join the fun.
Brenda Marr, former LHHS cheerleader and current Reading Specialist at Merriman Park Elementary, will host All Star Cheer Camp over three one-week sessions in June and July. “Our goal is to build self-confidence, teach the basic skills of cheerleading and dance, and have tons of fun,” Marr said.
Brenda has enlisted the help of rising varsity cheer captains Avery Voigt and Alexandra Burgin, who attended Marr’s camps when they were in elementary school. Forest Meadow cheerleaders Olivia Burgin and Jenna Mellinger will also help, assisting rising kindergarten through sixth grade girls with cheers, chants, stunts, dances, crafts and games. A show-off performance will be given at the end of the week.
You can register for the camps, which will be held in Marr’s home from 8:30 am to 1:30 pm the weeks of June 14, June 21 and July 12, by emailing Marr at brendamarr22@gmail.com to receive a registration form. The cost is $175 per session, which includes a t-shirt, and sibling discounts are available.
