Update at 11:57 a.m: The clerk died from his injuries, according to DPD Maj. Robert Arredondo, and the suspect remains at large. DPD’s Homicide Unit, Homicide Response Team and Project Safe Neighborhood team are investigating the robbery and murder.
A 7-Eleven store clerk was shot during an overnight robbery and transported to Presbyterian Hospital with critical injuries, NBC 5 reported. Customers entered the store at the corner of Abrams Road and the LBJ Freeway service road just before 3 a.m. Thursday morning and found the clerk shot. The customers alerted authorities.

The suspect remains at large, and officers remained on the scene at midmorning Thursday. If you have information about the shooter, you are asked to contact Dallas police at 1-877-373-TIPS.
