Herman Marshall Distillery

Looking for something different this Valentine’s Day? The folks at Lake House Bar & Grill are teaming up with Herman Marshall Distillery to create a Valentine’s Prohibition Dinner. The four-course meal will be prepared by Lake House chef Ian Tate and served at the distillery amid its bottles and barrels. Attendees are encouraged to remember the era by dressing up, 1920s style.

Herman Marshall makes hand-crafted small-batch Texas whiskey. After the dinner, guests are invited to bottle their own bourbon for an additional charge of $30.

Tate’s menu begins with candied jalapeno toast, chili-chilled shrimp and blue crab claws. After a charcuterie board with local cheeses and gulf oysters and a second course of pork belly and grits, the main course is a surf and turf of lobster and Kobe beef. Pastry chef Jill Bates Collins will create dessert.

Herman Marshall Distillery is at 803 Shepherd Drive near Forest Lane and Plano Road.
