Saturday, the Highlandettes competed at the Crowd Pleasers Competition against dance teams from all over the metroplex. The team won multiple awards, including first place in jazz, pom, dance team and novelty. The officers, Karin Claussen, Abby Smith, Bethany Ford, Shannon Simmons and Megan Williams, also took first in the jazz routine. The Dettes were second in the team lyrical and officer novelty competitions and were awarded Grand Champion honors in pom (shown here). Next, the Dettes will prepare for their annual Revue April 23 and 24 at the LHHS auditorium. Congratulations, girls.
