LHHS defeated Rockwall last night 2-0 at Wildcat-Ram Stadium, waiting until the final few moments to put in two goals. Foreign exchange student Jonathan Esselin – known to the kids as “Young Swede,” put in a long volley that went over the keeper’s head, then he sent in a corner kick which senior captain Luke Stringer dinked in with a header (shown in this video). The Cats looked strong, with multiple shots on goal, and a deep bench allowed seamless substitutions. The boys play again tonight at 7:30 pm, facing Flower Mound Marcus, ranked #1 nationally by ESPN.
