Taco Diner opened the wall of windows Wednesday to let a cool breeze blow in from the patio

Taco Diner opened its doors Wednesday by opening its doors – pulling back the wall of glass to let a cool breeze whisper in through umbrellas on patio. The long-awaited M Crowd restaurant at the Lake Highlands Town Center was full on its first night, and a splashier grand opening celebration will follow.

Attentive managers and wait staff circled proudly Wednesday, highlighting their new menu and suggesting their new signature cocktail, La Paloma, or the diner’s classic, Mambo Taxi.

A stone wall now separates the back bar from the center restaurant, and visitors at the side bar watched the flurry of activity in the kitchen. A front bar allows diners to face the window and watch Town Center patrons stroll by with their yogurt.

Taco Diner is located at 7150 Skillman at Walnut Hill between Hollywood Feed and Fish City Grill.
