All this rain bores potholes into the already poor Dallas streets.
But as long as it’s not raining, the city of Dallas is filling potholes like gangbusters.
In a memo to City Council members Friday, Assistant City Manager Majed Al-Ghafry said crews already have filled 500 potholes during the rains.
And in the dry moments, they have 17 two-man crews on pothole patrol, plus 10 street employees and a supervisor. They also have as many as five contract crews that can fill 50 potholes a day.
Already this year, the city has filled more than 15,000 potholes.
