Mi Cocina’s new patio is days away from opening to customers

Mi Cocina has been working on renovations to its patio, and employees say they’re almost finished and ready for customers. After a few delays, outdoor seating for 90 is in place – 22 tables of 4s and 6s – with half under louvered overhang which can be adjusted to allow shade or sun. Landscaping is in place to block the sights and sounds of Skillman, and the final touch is the center fountain, which still needs a couple of days work.

While at dinner Monday night, every diner seemed to linger near the glass door to check progress on the construction, with wait staff and managers all giving the same answer, “A couple of days. Give us a few more days.”

At least you can have a Mambo Taxi while you wait.
