The Lake Highlands cross country team opens the season Aug. 29 with the 25th annual Greenhill Six-Mile Relay at Norbuck Park (Northwest Highway and Buckner). The Greenhill Relays are the traditional start to the high school cross country season and feature lots of fun extras, including two hay bale obstacles.
"This is always such a great meet to start with and it’s a lot of fun," LH coach Alonna Knott said.
The LH Invitational, another highlight of the season, is Sept. 19, also at Norbuck Park.
Knott said seniors Michal Ann Starr, Grace Devaney, Jordan Gerber and Nathan Hogg will be key competitors this season, in addition to others.
