Kregg Jodie, Scott Johnson, Wes Bowen and Rob Reed at the Cat Classic

The Wildcat Club will host their annual Cat Classic Golf tournament June 9th at Canyon Creek Country Club, and registration is now available online here. Coaches from all Lake Highlands High School sports traditionally participate, interacting with parent players and volunteers. Students from the golf team will also be on hand to provide a few tips (and maybe play your out of that water hazard for a donation to the Wildcat Club).

Proceeds will be used to bridge the gap between what Richardson ISD provides and what Lake Highlands athletes need to be competitive and successful. The Wildcat Club supports all sports at LHHS, LHFC, LHJH and Forest Meadow, and they’ve purchased uniforms, field upgrades, posters, practice equipment and a new mascot uniform, among other items over many years of service to the LH community. The Wildcat Club provides about $70,000 annually.

Lunch and registration begin at 12 noon on Tuesday, June 9th, with a 1 p.m. shotgun start. The 4-man scramble costs $125 per golfer, and prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishers, Longest Drive, Closest to the Hole and Last Place. (Stay tuned to see if there’s a new car winner for a hole in one.)

Go Cats!
