We aren’t the only ones with coyote concerns. Or fascination. The Chicago Tribune reports that the animals are becoming so common in that city’s western suburbs that a seminar devoted to dealing with coyotes drew record crowds.
One piece of advice did seem a bit much, though. A wildlife biologist, asked what do when confronted by coyotes, offered this: “Never turn away from them. Run at them. Carry a stick.”
That’s easy for him to say.
