The Richardson ISD Used Book Fair, hosted by the RISD Council of PTAs
, will be held February 14 through 17 at Dal-Rich Village at the southeast corner of Coit and Beltline. Hours are 10 a.m.- 8 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and noon to 6 Sunday.
If you’d like to donate gently used books, DVDs and/or CDs, you can bag them up and deliver them to the front office of your local RISD school, where hard-working PTA volunteers will receive, sort and deliver them to the fair.
Prices for paperbacks begin at 25 cents (hardbacks aren’t much more), and thousands of titles and a variety of genres will be available. Entry to the book fair is free. Proceeds go to the J.J. Pearce Memorial Scholarship Fund and to local RISD schools.

Blogger CAROL TOLER and her husband, Toby, are the parents of four LHHS graduates. She has an MBA from SMU and is the proud recipient of the Exchange Club of LH's Unsung Hero Award and Councilman McGough's Blake Anderson Public Service Award. She received LHHS PTA's Extended Service Award, FMJH PTA's Charger Award and a Life Membership from the LHFC PTA. She has moderated candidate debates for Dallas Mayor, Dallas City Council and RISD Trustee races and taught seminars on garnering publicity for nonprofits. She completed training with Dallas Truth, Racial Healing and Transformation and Inside RISD, and she's a sustaining member of LH Women's League.
