Getting ready to send your kid off to college or get your family organized? The Lake Highlands Highlandettes are standing by to take those gently used items off your hands, free of charge. The LHHS drill team is preparing for their annual garage sale fundraiser, to be held August 20th in the high school gym, but they’ll make arrangements now to pick up, freshen up and store your overstuffed couch, outgrown bicycle, kitschy kitchen table or whatever you’d like to contribute. Just email Dette Mom Janelle VonSternberg here.

While you’re at it, mark your calendar. The garage sale will be open from 8am to 2pm, and Dette dads and daughters will also offer a car wash in the school’s front circle drive from 10am to 2pm.
