Storm damage on Dartridge in Lake Highlands. Photo courtesy of Margie Frank.

Luckily, Lake Highlands avoided the damage sustained in small towns south and east of here, including an F-1 tornado which touched town in Alvarado and significant structural damage in Waxahachie. It is always sad, though, whenever one of our big, beautiful trees goes down in a storm, not to mention the value lost to the homeowner and the neighborhood. Check out this pic sent in by Margie Frank from the 9600 block of Dartridge – and yes, that’s a car under there. Luckily, no one was hurt.
