LHH2o girls relay team : Peyton Slater, Lindsay Brunkenhoefer, Siobhan Kelley and Caitlin Klemme.
The LHH2O Lady Wildcat Swim Team turned in medal-winning performances at Tuesday’s Region 3-5A championship meet at the Mansfield ISD Natatorium.
Junior Peyton Slater earned bronze medals in the girls’ 50-yard freestyle and in the 100-yard backstroke. Freshman Caitlin Klemme was sixth in two individual races: the girls’ 100-yard breaststroke and 200-yard medley.
When it came time for the 200-yard relays, Slater and Klemme were joined by sophomores Lindsay Brunkenhoefer and Siobhan Kelley. The team placed ninth in freestyle and 10th in medley.
The Wildcats can expect another strong year in 2012 as these swimmers return, coached by Dave Carter, recently named District Girls’ Coach of the Year. Congratulations, girls!
