Perhaps you think of Exchange Club members as those fun-loving hosts of Oktoberfest Dallas and the Fourth of July parade. Did you know they give away thousands of dollars this time each year to fund projects by nonprofit organizations in the heart of Lake Highlands?
The ECLH Community Grants Program is designed to have a significant impact on recipient schools or organizations and on our community as a whole. They aim to tackle capital projects such as STEM labs, learning centers and high impact vehicles, and the largest possible single award will be $25,000. Previous recipients have included the Box 4 Service Truck and the Flag Pole Hill playground.
Grant applications may be found here. The deadline is March 28.
Exchange Club members also assist at community events. If your organization needs volunteers, email communityservice@eclh.com.
Of course, these community contributions are made in addition to the scholarships given by ECLH to Lake Highlands High School seniors each May. Hundreds of LHHS graduates have attended college with a financial and emotional boost from Exchange Club members over the years.
