According to the Garland Police Department, an 18-wheeler lost control on I-635 at McCree Road slightly after 10 a.m. on January 29. The truck struck two vehicles and a barrier. No major injuries resulted from the accident, police say.

GPD says officers were forced to close several lanes of traffic, but that a shutdown of the entire highway lasted “momentarily.” Traffic was backed up significantly for several hours, with some of the buildup extending along our neighborhood’s portion of the highway. Highway lanes were recently reopened, and as of 3:33 p.m, TxDot cameras at McCree show traffic flowing normally.
