The Midtown Public Improvement District is hosting a book giveaway today, Oct. 23, from 4-6 p.m.

Called ‘Book it with Midtown’ by organizers, the book giveaway is being sponsored by Half Price Books. Food will be provided free-of-charge by Monarca Fruteria. There will be a live DJ, and after school snacks will be provided as well, according to a release.
Representatives from the Dallas Police Department Northeast Patrol Division are expected to be on hand to answer questions and connect with the community, organizers say.
The event will take place at what the PID is calling ‘Midtown Plaza,’ or the intersection of Park Lane and Fair Oaks Avenue. The address given in the release is 8414 Park Lane.
