Lake Highlands basketball returns at 6 p.m. Wednesday with its annual tip-off event at LHHS.

The girls’ and boys’ varsity teams will both be present, competing in live scrimmages as well as a three-point shootout. The event will also feature player introductions and a dunk contest for the high-rising Wildcats. Additionally, the cheer team and the Highlandettes will be performing.

Admission is free and fans are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to donate to the community.

The boys’ season will officially get underway at 2:30 p.m. on November 15 against Denton on the road. Junior varsity and the freshman A-team will tip off at 1 p.m.

The girls’ team will start its season against Tyler Legacy at 6:30 p.m. Friday at home. The freshmen and junior varsity squads will face the same opponent at 5 p.m. at Lake Highlands.
