Lochland’s Food and Spirits is celebrating the harvest season with a special Oktoberfest dinner next week.
The neighborhood isn’t a stranger to seasonal specials with events like its annual St. Patrick’s Day party or holiday menus. However, the four-course pre-fixe menu planned for Sept. 25 at 7 p.m. marks the neighborhood pub’s first venture into ticketed dining events.
With tickets coming in at $60 per person, the dinner consists of four courses, each paired with an imported German festbier, in addition to a welcome pilsner upon arrival.
The procession of Bavarian specialities begins with a soft pretzel served with obatzda, a soft cheese–based cheese spread, and mustard. Given that Owners Peter and Cheryl Kinney already top their flatbreads with sausage from Jimmy’s Food Store, it should be no surprise to learn the discerning entrepreneurs have tapped Kuby’s Sausage House to supply bratwurst for a second course alongside sauerkraut.
For the main course, guests will be served pork schnitzel with an herby green sauce and potato salad. Guests will finish the night with a warm apple strudel served a la mode.
In the winter, Lochland’s will host another beer dinner similar to the one planned for Oktoberfest
